Upgrading an earlier version of Fathom Replication

If you are upgrading an earlier version of Fathom Replication, be sure to back up the following files:

Source database.
Target database.
database.repl.recovery files.

Because OpenEdge 10.1A upgrades the database.repl.recovery files, once you upgrade to OpenEdge 10.1A you cannot return to previous versions of Fathom Replication using your OpenEdge 10.1A files. If you need to return to a previous version of Fathom Replication on the source machine, you must back up your source database, start AI, and enable and configure Fathom Replication.

On the target machine, you must make sure you set up your structure file, restore your backup from the source, and enable and configure Fathom Replication. Now you can run Fathom Replication by simply starting your source and target databases with a Fathom Replication qualifier.
